Early Pregnancy Symptoms

During the early stages of pregnancy, our bodies begin to change. A missed period is the most common symptom that you might be pregnant.

Symptoms:
Frequent Urination
Backaches
Headaches
Nausea
Fatigue
Cramping
Food Aversions or Cravings
Tender or Swollen Breasts

If you notice any of these symptoms, you may be pregnant. For free pregnancy testing, call to schedule an appointment at our center today!

How Does a Pregnancy Test Work?

A pregnancy test works by detecting the presence of hCG (the pregnancy hormone) in our blood or urine. Your body’s production of hCG doubles every 72 hours for the first several weeks of pregnancy.  Waiting at least one week after a missed period will increase the accuracy of the test.

After a Positive Pregnancy Test

Your next step is to have an ultrasound.  An ultrasound will tell you how far along you are, if the pregnancy is viable and where the pregnancy is located.  Up to one-third of pregnancies end in a natural miscarriage.  Having an ultrasound prevents women from undergoing unnecessary procedures.

Whatever option you are considering---abortion, adoption or parenting, you will need this information before taking the next step.  We are here for you!
